Penny is currently attending obedience classes and is doing great, I think she has found her "calling"!  She demonstrated her potential by completing all requirements and successfull evaluation for Canine Good Citizen
 (CGC new AKC Title) 

Our first venture into the world of Obedience Competition was at the Five Valley Kennel Club Show in Missoula, MT June 24-26, 2012. 

We were entered into Beginner Novice A.  The first day Penny "Qualified" and got her "First Leg" towards her Obedience Title with a score of 194 out of 200.  WAHOOOOO!  Penny was taking this all in stride, but I was very nervous, not anything like the Conformation Ring that I am accustomed to  

The second day, Penny again qualified, getting her Second Leg with a score of 194 again.   Double WOW!!!!

On the third and last day of the show, Penny qualified once again in spite of her handler (ME) making some mistakes.  She got her Third and final leg for her title with a very respectable score of 193.  Triple WOWEEE!!!  

At the end of the three day show, Penny earned her "BN", Beginner Novice Title in Obedience.  We even got a picture taken with the final judge...

We didn't stop here, we continued to train for Rally and entered Novice Rally at the Montana Fall Cluster in Helena, MT Sept 20-23, 2012.  We were entered in Rally Novice B and successfully completed the course with nice qualifying scores each day.  I must admit we hadn't practiced some of the signs until we saw them shortly before we entered into the ring...

At the end of the three day show, Penny earned her "RN", Rally Novie Title....
